We are super excited to be featured in up and coming online magazine - Anthro. Giving a voice to the 20 something generation expressing political and equality subjects through the medium of fashion. Their first issue -The Feminist Issue - depicts a topic ripe and current in today's society. With more and more understanding of the subject, the stereotypical 'men-hating' 'anti-shaving' feminist is being overwritten with bad ass babes who are taking a stand for womens rights, giving birth to new role models showing that you can look how you want to look and be who you want to be without being judged and not taking any crap from people trying to stop you from achieving their full potential. I believe these issues are so vital in today's society and our label is all about empowering young women from all over the world to express themselves in every kind of way. We are soo happy and excited to be a part of such a movement! GIRL POWER!!

Fluffy Mini's and X-Men

So here's my first offish outfit post and I wanted to do a little post showing how to style this super cute fluffy mini skirt to make it a really easy wearable piece. I decided to style mine with my fave Forever 21 X-men Jumper over a vintage blouse. Unfortunately I can't find the jumper on the UK site but it's on sale on the american and poss still available in the stores! You could also swap it for a vintage sweater or there are plenty of similar options on the high street! The Metallic Tote Bag and Fluffly Mini Skirt are both available on my ASOS Marketplace store. I am so in love with Public Desire shoes right now!! They're style is totally on point and their prices are unbelievable good value!! I love rocking my Hettie Ankle Boots, they're super comfy for the height and really easy to style with most outfits!!



Hi I'm Gemma

Ok, so to explain where I'm going with all of this I must start with the beginning for you to make sense of it all, so bare with me while I waffle on a bit to get to my point! The majority (if not all) of you reading this will know me as Gemma Goldstone - fashion designer of my self titled womenswear label, but it has occurred to me recently -how many of you know who I actually am?! Although technically my surname is no longer Goldstone (I recently got hitched to my high school sweetheart) for all intensive purposes - I am still Gemma Goldstone. I've studied fashion since I was 16 (not including my years of GCSE textiles) and it is something that is built within me. Everything from part time jobs to hobbies to career have all revolved around clothing. I've always been weird, a bit of a dreamer and slightly eccentric and no matter what I've always found a need to create, so running my own clothing label is the perfect thing for me to do with my life. But lately it's not enough. When thinking about where I go from here and what I want to do with the rest of my life the only answer's I can come up with are everywhere and everything! Writing has always been another passion of mine however it isn't until now that I've realised that I've been sitting on something without even realising- MY BLOG!!! Until now, my blog has always been directed towards Gemma Goldstone - the clothing label, but I have so much more to offer that I want to share! In the age that we live in we have learnt that you don't have to leave school/college/uni to get a job and label yourself with one profession for the rest of time. You can be a presenter and a DJ with a styling job on the side. Or be a model with a lifestyle blog and cook book. All combinations are welcomed and accepted.

So now for my point, although I am the owner of the Gemma Goldstone clothing label, that is not the be all end all with me. So I have decided to make over my blog and take it down to a more personal level. Yes there will still be references to my clothing label - that's a big chunk of my life and so it would be impossible to disregard it, but I'm also going to share with you my life. I want to show you that Gemma Goldstone is more than just the name of my label - it's also the person behind all of that... ME :)

So I hope that you will be accepting of this change and join me on my journey as not just a designer but a creative, a stylist, a photographer, a writer, an obsessive and an all round boss babe x

SS15 Fashion Weeks

Well that's a wrap. The most stylishly eventful month of the year has come to a close and designers from all over the world came flooding to the 4 main fashion capitals showcasing their SS15 collections. After trawling though all the collections I have picked out my faves from the last 4 weeks and tied them up in a nice little bow for you so have a scroll and check out next Spring/Summers hot list.

In my opinion Ashish has really nailed it with the past couple of collections. Think streetwear covered in sequins and that's where it's at! After last seasons light up trainers (which I'm still dying to get my hands on) they have come back just as strong with some chunky fur covered sequin heels to make you want to never wear flat shoes again! Proving that you can never have enough sparkle in your life, their snakeskin track suits sparkly T's and mini dresses you will never have a dull wardrobe day again. Stealing the limelight however has to be the 'Kim-ye' [ Kim Kardashian and Kanye West] sequin faces adorned on sweater jumpers and jeans. Pure genius!! 

My ultimate fave collection (possibly of all time) has to go to Moschino. Under the watchful eye of the genius that is Mr Jeremy Scott, the brand has totally upped it's fashion stakes presenting another quirky, fun and tongue in cheek collection this time influenced by their style queen, Barbie. Pink, pink, pink with neon touches boldly pushed the collection to a whole other level creating the ultimate wardrobe for every Barbie girl in her Barbie world. So be it Sporty Barbie, Malibu Barbie or Party Girl Barbie, there is an outfit to suit every mood. It's what every 6 year old girl dreams of but this time it's the grown ups that get to have the fun!! 

Meadham Kirchoff took us back to the 80's with their Madonna inspired mis-matched collection. Introducing a contrast of colours, textures and styles they have mixed up hot pink and yellow PVC with lace basque tops and sheer denim style jackets. Layering was the key to this collection creating a constructed, chaotic show and at the heart of it all was a collection of super wearable and fun statement pieces for ultimate summer style. Vogue hands at the ready, this collection will rock up your summer wardrobe. 

So it seems that the master of multi tasking, Mr Jeremy Scott has been working his neon socks of and managed to pull out of the bag not one, but two killer collections this fashion week. Taking a more street wear inspired approach and inspired by his muse of the moment Miley Cyrus, Jeremy mixed bomber jackets with teenie hot pants and bikini tops, 80's inspired mini animal print party dresses and mismatched leather patchwork co-ords and jackets. This pic'n'mix collection is completely versatile and wearable but still fun and super cool, must have style inspo for the summer!! 

Chic Model Monochrome was Muglers inspiration this season with clean cut silhouettes, 90's style designs and cut out features for an added edge. The chic style of the collection makes the pieces really easy to style and stylish enough to give Cara Delevigne a run for her money. Thigh high splits pushed the limitations of the collection giving it an edge with metallic bursts for a contemporary twist. All round this sophisticated style can be translated into everyone's wardrobe and take your look from day to night effortlessly for true model style.

So that's it for another few months until Fashion week returns in Feb boasting AW15 collections. In the mean time all we can do is construct our shopping lists ready to blast into the next season!! Dressing up boxes at the ready.... It's gonna be a fun one!

We are dedicating this #TBT [Throw Back Thursday] post to one of our defining moments so far as a brand. At the height of her Twerking phenomenon (and that VMA performance) Miss Miley Cyrus was featured in Notion magazine with not 1, not 2 but THREE pages of her adorned in Gemma Goldstone garms. Styled by our queen Alexis Knox, Miley looked MAJOR in our white fluffy bomber jacket and choker neck co-ord and some killer 90's style heeld sandals. Shopcade x LFW SS15

Last weekend London was overhauled by the fash pack taking the city by storm with shows, presentations, events and party's galore. We teamed up with major shopping app Shopcade in a pop up extravaganza in Central London for two days. Taking over The White Space in Covent Garden, along with brands such as Karizma, Dazzle and Jolt, High Spirit and Heba we set up shop for the two day shopping event. The weekend consisted of free makeovers and nails, delish treats from Lola's cupcakes and MAJOR sparkly ness from the Glitter Lips babez! Taking over the decks was everyone from The Glitter Beats, Hoxton Radio, Fabienne DesFleurs and DJ Sarah Giggles getting everyone in the mood ready for Sundays after party finalie! We had such fun meeting loads of amazing people and getting everyone glammed up in our fluffy bombers! Massive thanks to the Shopcade and Forward PR teams for accommodating us and making our LFW totally fierce!
